This motivating COIL collaboration was carried out by third-year speech therapy students from UDD, in conjunction with students of equivalent level from Albizu University in Puerto Rico. They tackled a common topic in the field of speech therapy for children and adolescents, which is phonological awareness skills.
In 12 mixed groups, they worked on clinical cases to analyze the development of phonological awareness skills and formulate diagnostic hypotheses related to oral and written language disorders.
